"Anthrax and Bioterrorism" topic for UNI lecture Thursday, Feb. 7

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- "Anthrax and Bioterrorism: A Microbiologist's View" will be the topic of a 6:30 p.m. lecture Thursday, Feb. 7, on the University of Northern Iowa campus. Michael Walter, UNI assistant professor of biology, will speak in Lantz Auditorium of McCollum Science Hall (Room 2532).

Walter will discuss anthrax and other biological warfare agents that can cause sickness or death in humans, livestock or crops. His address is open to the public free of charge, and is part of the course, "Environment, Technology and Society."
