Katherine van Wormer, professor of social work, published "Restorative Justice and Social Work" in Social Work Today, January 7, 2002. Yury Lerner, Industrial Technology, authored an article "Pre-Inoculation Effect of SiC in Thin Wall Ductile Iron Production," published in Transactions of AFS 105-th. Casting Congress, 2001, pp. 1021-1036. Christopher B. Denison, Wellness and Recreation Services, had an article entitled: "First- Ever NIRSA Aquatics Symposium Makes a Splash". Published in the Recreational Sports and Fitness Magazine, February 2002. Paul Chao, Professor of Marketing, has a paper entitled: "The Moderating Effects of Country of Assembly, Country of Parts and Country of Design on Hybrid product Evaluations" published in the Winter 2001 Issue (Vol.30,No.4) of the Journal of Advertising. Chao with Stephen Jakubowski, Sung Ky Huh and Suneel Maheshwan, has a paper entitled: "A Cross Country Comparison of the Codes of Professional Conducts of certified/Chartered Accountants," accepted for publication in the Journal of Business Ethics. Chao with Paul Sauer has a paper entitled: "Professional Workplace Ethics-U.S. and China," accepted for publication as a Chapter in a book-Business Ethics and Organizational Compliance. |

Martha Reineke and Betty DeBerg, Philosophy and Religion, were invited to give prsentations at the recent annual meeting of the Association of American Colleges and Universities. Reineke led a seminar on "Religious Literacy in a Globally Interdependent World," and DeBerg made a presentation, "Religion on Campus." Linda Walsh, Psychology, presented "An Alumni-Based Career Exploration Resources: Where Are They Now and What Are They Doing?" at the 24th National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology at St. Petersburg Beach, Fla. in January. |

Linda Walsh, Psychology, received a $1000 grant from the National Office of Psi Chi, the Psychology Honor Society to help fund the Undergraduate Social Science Research Conference scheduled for April 20, 2002. |
