Richard Utz, English, published an essay, "Enthusiast or Philologist? Professional Discourse and the Medievalism of Frederick James Furnivall," in Studies in Medievalism 11 (2001), 189-212. Yury Lerner, Industrial Technology, authored an invited article " Gravity Diecasting of Ductile Iron" which was published in England, in Foundry Trade Journal (Special Technical Review), September 2001, pp.30-42. Lynn Nielsen, Curriculum and Instruction, and Joan Vandervelde, Teaching Department, published CampSilos, http://www.campsilos.org/. It was developed between May of 2000 and June of 2001. CampSilos highlights the development of American agriculture. Linda May Fitzgerald, Curriculum and Instruction, and Christopher Kliewer, Special Education, published an article titled "Disability, schooling the artifacts of colonialism," in the Teachers College Record, vol. 103, no. 3, p. 4 (June 2001). Jason Follett, Teaching-MPLS, has been evaluated as a Superior Judge for the 2001 contest season by one or more Iowa High School Speech Association coaches. Bob Pesek, CIEP, was elected to the Administrators and Teachers of ESL Representative, Committee on Ethical Practice of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Lynn Nielsen, Curriculum and Instruction, and Joan Vandervelde, Teaching Department, developed Camp Silos, which was recognized in August by Yahooligans as one of "This Week's Five Coolest Sites." Furthermore, on August 16, CampSilos was recognized by TechLearning http://www.techlearning.com/ as the "Site of the Day." |
