She is the only person at an Iowa Regents institution, or other Iowa college or university, to earn the designation.

.....Dean Kruckeberg, public relations-will be 1997 chair of the Educators Section of the Public Relations Society of America, and co-chair of the Educational Advisory Committee. The committee will have responsibility for the next Commission on Public Relations Education, which will determine the curricular guidelines for public relations education in the United States throughout the next decade. Kruckeberg also will represent the Speech Communication Association Public Relations Division on the commission, reviewing, revising or replacing the recommendations of the 1987 commission. Kruckeberg also has been elected to a two-year term as vice chair of the Public Relations Interest Group of the International Communication Association.
