At the State Capital,
on March 19, the Iowa House and Senate passed resolutions commemorating
UNI's 125th anniversary and Gov. Tom Vilsack signed a proclamation declaring
it UNI Day.
President Koob, staff
and NISG members presented birthday cupcakes to legislators to mark the
occasion.
Eight members of the
UNI Concert Chorale entertained Vilsack, Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson and lawmakers
with the school "Alma Mater."
