The University of Northern Iowa is celebrating its 125th Anniversary this year. The celebration has three major components. The first component "Arts in April" was a huge success and concluded with the production of "Crazy For You," April 24-25, in the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center.

The second component of the 125th Anniversary, "Celebration of Community," will take place during the summer and will showcase UNI's involvement in community events. In July, the university invites the Cedar Falls and Waterloo communities to campus to help celebrate UNI's 125th Anniversary. This celebration will be in conjunction with the College Hill Arts Festival on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21.

The final component of the anniversary "Celebration of Tradition" takes place during autumn with these key events:

August 29             Convocation

September 28-30  Family Weekend

September 29       UNI-Dome rededication

October 12            Lang Hall rededication

October 13            Homecoming
