UNI's new College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences will officially take the place of the former College of Humanities and Fine Arts, and College of Natural Sciences on Friday, July 1. The new consolidated college is the result of recommendations of Executive Vice President and Provost Gloria Gibson. A transition committee, chaired by Professors Betty DeBerg and Cliff Chancey, worked for more than a year to develop and carryout plans for the reorganization.
As summer school is fast approaching, I would like to share with you the second edition of the Academic Affairs Newsletter. The academic year has been filled with excitement and challenges. Our goal in Academic Affairs remains serving our students by providing them an excellent educational experience through diverse learning environments. While we face uncertainty during this difficult budgetary climate, I am certain that with your help, we will meet, head on, the challenges that await us.
