Curriculum Review Process
The University Curriculum Committee reviews undergraduate curriculum proposals and recommends to the University Faculty Senate changes in existing undergraduate curricula. The UCC meets alternate Wednesdays, 3-5 p.m., fall semester odd years, and on call.
The Graduate College Curriculum Committee reviews graduate curriculum proposals and forwards their recommendations to the Graduate Council, which then recommends to the University Faculty Senate changes in existing graduate curricula.
Faculty members within academic departments are primarily responsible for initiating curriculum proposals. In addition, several other groups may forward curriculum proposals to the appropriate curriculum review bodies, e.g., the Council on Teacher Education, the Liberal Arts Core Committee, etc.
