Thank you to campus

I have felt a little guilty accepting the many kind greetings offered over the last several months.  I realize I am only standing in for all of those that have achieved success by the great team effort that is the UNI community.

I cannot begin to express to each of you how important your cooperation, support and hard work have been.  Despite some significant externally imposed adversity over the past few years, UNI has emerged a better place for students to learn, and a better place for faculty, staff and students to work.  Beyond that, because you contribute to your community as well as to your campus, the Cedar Valley has become a better place to live.

Thank you for making the last eleven years such a rewarding part of my life.

It is said that you will know when the time has come to call a halt to a job.  It has come before we thought it would, but we know it is right.  We have had an incredible experience here at UNI and the memories will last for the rest of our lives.  I didn’t have time to write everyone a note (I guess I thought it was Christmas) so I am using this method.  Please know that we value you and wish the best for you.  We will never forget UNI and its wonderful people.
