9.62 Keys

Purpose:

To establish a policy with regard to the handling of University keys and access to University buildings.

Policy Statement:

All issued keys remain the property of the University of Northern Iowa. Any key exchange or reproduction of a university key not involving the University Physical Plant is prohibited. Unauthorized access to any university building is also prohibited.

A deposit for a University key is not required; however, a charge will be assessed keys lost or not returned. A request for re-keying any University lock must be requested from Physical Plant, and a charge may be necessary.
