Protection of Human Research Participants

Questions concerning processing of IRB protocols or research projects involving human subjects should be directed to the IRB Administrator, Anita Kleppe, MSW (319-273-6148).

IRB 201: Special Topics in Research Involving Human Participants

  • Date: Tuesday, April 22, 2008

    Session 2: Survey Research, 8:30-10:15 a.m., Larry Hensley and Gene Lutz, State College Room, MAU
    Session 3: Research in Education, 10:30-12:15 p.m., Susan Etscheidt and John Henning, CME
    Session 4: Research with Existing Datasets, 10:30-12:15 p.m., Larry Hensley, State College Room, MAU

    Prerequisite: It is strongly recommended that attendees have previous basic training in human participants protections, either previous UNI IRB 101 training, or an online tutorial, such as the one offered by NIH at click here.

    Faculty, staff, and students are all welcome. There is no cost for the training. Certificates of training will be provided.
