Grants.gov ALERT!! (see below)
Free database and portal to find and apply for all
grant opportunities offered by each Federal agency.
SPECIAL ALERT about Grants.Gov:
Grants.gov is transitioning away from the use of the PureEdge viewer applications to applications that are to be developed within Adobe. For some period of time, it will be necessary to watch closely to see which program is required for each grant, and in the event that your particular grant program requires the use of Adobe, special precautions must be taken to ensure you are using the correct version of Adobe.
Currently, if you attempt to submit an application that was created in the wrong program or version, grants.gov eventually will reject the application, requiring the applicant to start over entirely with the correct version before attempting to resubmit.
Therefore, we advise that: 1) applicants download both PureEdge Viewer AND the correct version of Adobe, which is either 7.0.9. or 8.1.1. only ; 2) if you have any other Adobe program on your computer (such as a paid version of Adobe Professional), you must ensure that the application package is being saved into and opened by the correct version. One way to do this is to right click on the application file you wish to open and explicitly tell Acrobat to "Open with Acrobat 8.1.1."; Even so, Acrobat may not follow the instruction, and so you must also double check that 8.1.1. is open while editing the application package. Grants.gov is looking into these issues.
