Funding Alert Services


Through the following websites you can sign up for email alerts announcing new and current funding opportunities in the following areas of interest:

General Funding Sources

Grants.gov -  Receive email notifications of new governmental grant postings.  You can specify all grant opportunities or restrict emails by criteria or funding opportunity.

Foundation Center - RFP Bulletin - Receive weekly e-mails of private foundation opportunities in your areas of interest. Enter your e-mail in the Subscribe box under the navigation menu. Registered users can also subscribe to specialized newsletters including Arts Funding Watch, Education Funding Watch, and Health Funding Watch. 

IRIS Alert Service - UNI is currently an active subscriber to IRIS, a database of information about both federal and non-federal funding opportunities.  The IRIS Alert Service allows users to create individual search profiles, which are run against the IRIS database of funding opportunities at intervals specified by the user.  Users are alerted to upcoming funding opportunities in their areas of interest. 

Federal Register - List of current announcements about rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents. A bit tedious to read but contains links to full announcements.

ResearchResearch –  ResearchResearch is a fairly new addition to the database arena and offers a daily alert service.

Sciences

Community of Science Funding Alert - www.cos.com : Once you have entered your profile, you will be listed in a large database of researchers and scientists searchable by registered members, as well as receive COS Funding News, a weekly publication of selected newly available and updated research grants. 

Environmental Protection Agency - National Center for Environmental Research and Quality Assurance - http://cfpub.epa.gov/ncer_list/elists/ : NCERQA currently maintains 17 separate e-mail lists that allow the user to automatically receive announcements of grant and funding opportunities or bi-weekly summaries of new documents added to the NCERQA web site for specific research topics.  

Federal Aviation Administration - http://www.asu.faa.gov/faaco/index.cfm : Notifies subscribers of new contract opportunities.  

GrantsNet - http://www.grantsnet.org/funding_news_alert.cfm :  Alerts on funds for biomedical research and undergraduate science education. GrantsNet Express for AAAS members only offers a new listing each week of science funding opportunities from private foundations and organizations, as well as new U.S. government science grant announcements.  Developed by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the site currently focuses on graduate and postgraduate training and junior faculty positions, but expansion is planned to encompass undergraduate and precollege science training.

NASA Space Science Research Announcements - http://spacescience.nasa.gov/announce/listserv.htm :  Members of the Space Science research community (i.e., people who submit research proposals) are invited to subscribe to electronic notification of all Space Science research announcements (NRA's, AO's, etc.). This service provides advanced notice (a week or so) of upcoming announcements. 

NASA Acquisition Internet Service - http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/nens/index.cgi :  Allows you to receive notifications on NASA acquisition opportunities of interest to you. 

National Science Foundation Custom News Service - http://www.nsf.gov/mynsf/ This service lets you choose which documents you want to receive from NSF, i.e., program announcements, newsletters, etc. and from which directorates. When you register be sure to check "Program Announcements & Information" and select your areas of interest. You will receive email notices of grant announcements based on your selections. 

NIH Guide ListServ - http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/listserv.htm : The NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts is the official publication for NIH medical and behavioral research Grant Policies, Guidelines and Funding Opportunities. Each week, the NIH transmits an e-mail with Table of Contents (TOC) information for that week's issue of the NIH Guide, via the NIH LISTSERV.  

NIH, National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) - Subscribe to Mailing List for Genome Funding Opportunities - http://www.genome.gov/10000259 : The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) has established a listserv to announce our funding opportunities. Subscribers receive a brief summary of Program Announcements (PAs) and Requests for Applications (RFAs), with links to more detailed information. 

NIH, National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) - http://www.niaid.nih.gov/ncn/newsletters/default.htm  NIAID Funding News and NIAID Email Alerts provide funding, policy, and other timely information to the extramural research community interested in its program areas as well as the NIH application process in general. 

SSTI Funding Digest - http://www.ssti.org/Digest/digest.htm :  An e-mail subscription provided by State Science & Technology Institute reporting the week's biggest stories for the cooperative technology program community — funding opportunities, state and federal program changes, Congressional activities, and the latest studies and reports.

Transportation Research Board - http://www4.nas.edu/trb/crpmail.nsf/registration : The Transportation Research Board (TRB) offers a free e-mail notification service to advise users when Requests for Proposals have been published National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP), Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP), Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP). Once registered, users will receive e-mail notification of all RFPs that have been released. The full text of the RFPs will be posted on the Cooperative Research Program Homepage.

Health & Human Services

Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Electronic Newsletter - http://www.ahrq.gov/news/ahrqlist.htm : The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) produces an electronic newsletter for people who are interested in receiving announcements and information by E-mail about Agency activities. The newsletter is sent out on a regular basis, as news warrants. It describes the results of AHRQ-funded studies, announces the availability of new print and electronic resources, gives updates on the status of current funding opportunities, and much more.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Mailing List - http://www.cdc.gov/subscribe.html : The Prevention News offers conference announcements, current funding opportunities, and announcements about new NPIN products and services.

Department of Justice JUSTINFO- http://www.ncjrs.gov/subreg.html : JUSTINFO is a biweekly electronic newsletter containing information about publications, events, funding and training opportunities, and Web-based resources available from NCJRS Federal sponsors.

Institute for the Advancement of Social Work Research Listserv  - www.iaswresearch.org :- Compiled as a resource to advance social work education, practice, and policy through social work research.  In addition to information about conferences, online resources, calls for papers, and research results, provides multi-disciplinary and timely announcements of funding opportunities for social scientists and professionals.

National Institutes of Health http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/listserv.htm :  This weekly service e-mails you the Table of Contents of their NIH Guide offering information on medical and behavioral research grant policies, guidelines, and funding opportunities. Links are provided in your e-mail message for the individual programs.  You can also subscribe to tailored NIH listservs of agency funding by topic:  https://list.nih.gov/cgi-bin/show_list_archives.

NIH, Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research - http://obssr.od.nih.gov/Content/Research/BSSR_Guide_To_Grants_at_NIH/GuideIndex.htm Provides an e-mail service for announcing NIH funding opportunities in the behavioral and social sciences. Once or twice a month, OBSSR distributes via e-mail a listing (with hyperlinks) of recent funding announcements (Program Announcements, Requests for Applications, Notices) published in the NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation E-mail Services for Grants - http://www.rwjf.org/global/signin.jsp :  Issued whenever the Foundation posts a new funding opportunity in the interest area(s) of your choice. RWJF is a private foundation devoted to improving health and health care, and supports training, education, research and projects that demonstrate effective ways to deliver health services, especially for the most vulnerable among us.

National Endowment for the Humanities Outlook - http://www.neh.gov/news/outlook.asp: Outlook is a monthly electronic newsletter containing news, funding opportunity announcements and information. New subscribers can send an email to newsletter@neh.gov and type the word "subscribe" in the body of the message.

Business/Entrepreneurship 

Aeronautical Systems Center Preaward Information Exchange System  - http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil/pixs/MailList.asp :  The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) Preaward Information Exchange System at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio maintains an e-mail notification service which provides updates regarding specific business opportunities in which users have expressed an interest. Once a user has registered his/her interest, the user will automatically receive an e-mail notification each time the business opportunity is updated. The service is located at.

Federal Business Opportunities - http://www1.fbo.gov/EPSVendorRegistration.html :  Sign up to receive procurement announcements from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). After subscribing you will receive the following announcements by email: 1) pre-solicitation and their modification, 2) notices of solicitation and solicitation amendment releases, and 3) general procurement announcements.

SBIR/STTR Alerting Service - http://www.pnl.gov/edo/sbir/ :  The free, award-winning SBIR/STTR Alerting Service delivers bi-weekly e-mail updates to subscribers nationwide about SBIR and STTR solicitation announcements, seminars and workshops, and proposal-writing tips.  For alerts specific to the Department of Defense visit:  http://www.acq.osd.mil/osbp/sbir/solicitations/index.htm.

Department of Education ED RSS - http://www.ed.gov/news/newsletters/rssnewsfeed.html : delivers headlines from ED press releases, funding opportunities, No Child Left Behind, and federal learning resources through RSS.

Department of Education PreventionEd - http://www.ed.gov/news/newsletters/listserv/preventioned.html  The purpose of this listserv is to provide an information outlet for the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools Program and is available to the public.  The content includes a newsletter, legislation, other Federal Programs grant opportunities.
