Student Disability Services (SDS) is a University of Northern Iowa resource that provides specialized services to enhance the overall academic, career, and personal development of each student with a disability.
Vocational Rehabilitation
UNI Campus Location
Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) has a counselor on campus located in 102 Gilchrist to help students with disabilities access a variety of rehabilitation services. Services may include assessment, counseling and guidance, restoration services, tuition assisstance, personal assistance and more. If a student has a physical or mental impairment, whtich constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment, they are eligible to apply for services. Student will be required to discuss and/or provide documentation of their disability. Students can apply for services if they are having diffficulty with course work or accessing services on campus due to a disability isssue. Students who are interested in additional information or applying for services may make an appointment by calling 273-6348.
