Academic Assistance

 

Non-traditional students are among the most academically successful students on our campus. They know that becoming a successful student at UNI requires hard work, dedication and discipline. They are good consumers and actively use the many services designed to help students achieve their goals.

 

The following types of academic assistance are available at UNI:
 
Academic Advising
Computing Services
Effective Study Strategies
Mathematics
Speed Reading
PPST Reading

Writing

 

Tutorial programs

Tutors and/or help sessions are available in selected department offices. See bulletin boards in academic areas for scheduled help sessions. For names of tutors contact the departmental office in which courses are offered. Help sessions are free, but tutors may charge a fee. There is other assistance available through Ask-A-Tutor. Students who meet eligibility guidelines may receive free tutoring through the Student Support Services Program.
