UNI to offer summer graduate course in water quality

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa will offer a summer graduate course in water quality, May 12 through June 6.

Bill Stigliani, director of UNI's Center for Energy and Environmental Education, said the course is for those interested in water chemistry, quality protection and treatment. Course content will include composition and chemistry of natural and polluted waters, sampling procedures, and scientific analysis of water quality. The instructor will be Jamison Bear, a visiting professor of environmental science from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kan.

The three-credit course is numbered 830:186g and is not listed in the UNI summer Schedule of Classes. To register, contact the registrar's office, (319) 273-2623.
