CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa will host an open house for the 30th anniversary of Kindergym from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8, in the Wellness & Recreation Center, Room 155. All families who have participated in the program are invited to attend.
Kindergym was created at UNI in 1984 as an attempt to meet the needs of preschoolers, parents and UNI students. For the past three decades, the student-led program has helped children develop and refine their motor skills. Kindergym is an informal learning environment with activity stations that focus on age-appropriate movement skills that encourage success in a fun atmosphere.
