CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's educational leadership department will host a panel discussion including four key Iowa educational leaders from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 8, in the University Room, in the Maucker Union on the UNI campus.
The panel is part of an Educational Leadership Advisory Council meeting. The Educational Leadership Advisory Council members are principals and superintendents from around the state who meet twice a year to provide feedback on UNI's principal and superintendent programs.
The panel will address the status and recommendations of Iowa's six educational task forces. Panelists include Tom Downs, director of the Iowa School Board Association; Dan Smith, director of School Administrators of Iowa; Rourke Horn, director of Area Education Agency (AEA) 267; and Byron Darnell, Iowa Department of Education.
