UNI SAVE Mentors Men's Week continues through Thursday, April 24

The UNI SAVE Mentors Men's Week brings men (and women) together to address many topics, including masculinity and women's issues.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, the video 'Wrestling with Manhood' will be shown in the Lang Hall Auditorium, with a discussion to follow. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, the group is sponsoring a 'Women's Panel,' a tribute to strong women, in 244-245 Schindler Education Center.

A 'one-hundred man march' is planned for Thursday, April 24, beginning at noon outside Maucker Union. The event is a protest of violence against women. Organizers say women are also welcome to join in support of the march.

Pride Week events continuing at UNI

Pride Week got underway at UNI Monday, April 21, and continues with a poetry reading at The Vibe in Cedar Falls, from 7 to 10 p.m., Tuesday, April 22.

'Christianity, Homosexuality and The Bible' will be presented from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, in Room 161 Baker Hall. Susan Hill, UNI associate professor of religion and director of UNI's Undergraduate Program in Women's Studies, will speak about what is and is not in the Bible about homosexuality. A question-and-answer (Q&A) session will follow. Pizza will be provided.
