UNI Gallery of Art to present 'Remix: Art and Sound Unbound'

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa Gallery of Art will present a semester-long exhibition of works from the UNI Permanent Art Collection titled "Remix: Art and Sound Unbound" from Jan. 13 to March 1, March 24 to April 19 and April 28 to May 10. The exhibition is co-curated by Elizabeth Sutton, assistant professor of art, and Darrell Taylor, director of the Gallery of Art.

Throughout the exhibit, students from the Avant-garde in Art and Music class will present supplementary materials for each piece of art. Some of the artists represented include Robert Rauschenberg, Pablo Picasso, Hanne Darboven and others. A concert series will be offered in the gallery throughout the semester.
