Second UNI presidential candidate to visit UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Three candidates for the position of president of the University of Northern Iowa will make campus visits during the next two Avijit Ghoshweeks. The candidates' two-day visits will include meetings with students, faculty and staff and a public forum where each will make a presentation and address audience questions. 

The second candidate is Avijit Ghosh (ah-VEE'-jiht GOHSH), senior adviser to the president, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, who will visit campus Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 30 and 31. His public forum will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Commons, Slife Ballroom.

The new UNI president will succeed retiring President Benjamin Allen. Allen became the university's ninth president in 2006.
