CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Registration is now open for the management workshop "Six Steps and Eight Behaviors to Resolving Conflict" hosted by the University of Northern Iowa Executive Development Center. The workshop is 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18, in the Business and Community Services Building on the UNI campus. The registration deadline is May 11.
Debra Salz, workshop instructor, will conduct active dialogue sessions about conflict and have participants explore how they interpret and respond to conflict based on their natural tendencies and personalities.
"By looking at conflict from a different perspective, you can improve employee relationships and morale, accomplish more at work, limit negatively and achieve more success," said Kim Recker, program manager for the UNI Executive Development Center.
The workshop cost is $249 per person. UNI Alumni Association members receive a 10-percent discount. Businesses can purchase a consortium membership for $1,999, which entitles the business to 10 seats to any of the 2012 management training workshops. Half-day workshops count as a half seat. After the five seats are used, additional seats can be purchased at a discounted rate of $175 per seat.
