CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Two UNI faculty members will be among the more than 100 people who will become American citizens at the University of Northern Iowa's citizenship oath ceremony at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, in the Maucker Union Old Central Ballroom. CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Tom Schilke, director of the Northern Iowa Junior Orchestra (NIJO), will celebrate 20 years at the University of Northern Iowa at NIJO's annual spring concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, April 21, in Davis Hall, Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center.
Schilke is the former orchestra director for Hoover Middle School and current member of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony. He has served as director of the NIJO since 1993.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Winners from the University of Northern Iowa/Area Education Agency 267 Regional Physics Competition will advance to the state physics competition to be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, April 17, in the McLeod Center on UNI's campus.
