Jessica Valenti lecture rescheduled to April 17

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Jessica Valenti, renowned feminist author and founder of the popular blog "Feministing," will speak at the University of Northern Iowa at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, in Sabin Hall, Room 002.

Valenti was named one of the top 100 women by British daily newspaper The Guardian for her work in bringing the feminist movement into the 21st century. Her lecture will explore the social implications of modern parenting, the focus of her latest book "Why Have Kids?: A New Mom Explores the Truth About Parenting and Happiness." The event was originally scheduled for Monday, March 11, as a part of UNI's celebration of Women's History Month.
