Food waste roundtable discussion scheduled for May 22

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Senior Program Manager at the Iowa Waste Reduction Center, Dan Nickey will be joining a panel of experts at The Problem with Food Waste: Let’s Talk about Solutions roundtable discussion on May 22 in Cedar Rapids. Presented by the Regional Sustainable Business Alliance, the event will address what can be done to reduce the generation of food waste and its disposal in Iowa landfills.

Other panelists include Jen Jordan from the Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center, Marie DeVries from the Linn County Solid Waste Agency, and Pam Oldham at Mercy Medical Center.
