It seems like Summer is a slow time for Sertoma News. However, for
Cedar Valley Sertoma, there was plenty of hard knocks. We lost two
of our members this summer – Lloyd Berry and Marie Robinson. That’s
more than enough news for an entire summer.
As soon as we can confirm a date with the East Iowa Governor, we
will have installation of 2005-2006 Cedar Valley Officers.
There is a survey attached to the newsletter email regarding meeting
times and places that I would like to have returned to Donna or
brought to a meeting during the month of August. The Board will be
reviewing the results of that survey and bringing the data to the
business meeting in September.

Which perspective that best matches your current feelings about
work/life balance?
A. If you’re passionate about what you do, work/life balance isn’t
an issue.
B. No one ever died regretting she didn’t spend an extra day at
work.
A. If I fill my life with non-work activities, I find I’m actually
more efficient at work.
B. I work best under pressure, if I relax too much, I’ll accomplish
less.
A. The harder I work, the more respect I’ll get.
B. The person who wins the rat race is still a rat. .
