Board Meeting-Minutes
Thursday, June 24, 2004

Present: Carlin Hageman, Bill Smart, Joe Alemao, Lloyd Berry, Chris Neuhaus, Jessica Williams, and Bob Robinson

Minutes- Minutes from the virtual Board Meeting were reviewed. Lloyd motioned to approve and Carlin 2nd.

Treasurer’s Report-

     Sponsorship $4,711.94
     General Account $1, 528.25

Bill Smart motioned to approve with Joe 2nd.

Habitat for Humanity - Received information from Donna regarding sponsoring a Habitat Family. Lloyd reported that this person has been funded. Decided to give $ to Habitat where Habitat decides it is needed.

New Budget: Try to donate $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity when speaker comes on July 22. This year we need to prioritize and eliminate smaller donations. The budget was left as a work in progress. However, we will need to eliminate sponsorships or raise more money.

Flags: Lloyd found some stickers for the flag poles to identify the flag project as Sertoma’s. Lloyd motioned to purchase and Joe 2nd.

Pancakes: Bob Robinson reserved the Community Center for November 6th. He would be checking into the cost of using the Center.

Recruitment: Chris brought forth the idea of allowing organizations to develop their own flag neighborhood with the profits going towards their own sponsorship. This would help get new members involved. Bob Robinson brought up the need to go door-to-door to in our current flag neighborhoods to get late renewals or late orders.
