While there will be no presentations from Junior High students
this year - Collegiate

Sturgis Falls Fundraiser - Carlin has contacted Paul Nielson
concerning a switch in location for our food booth from Tourist Park to
Overman Park. Paul indicated that we would have first priority if any of
the current fundraising groups were to cancel for 2004 - but - we won't
know that until April 1 (the deadline for applications).
Chris will contact Paul to determine if we need to apply for both Overman
and Tourist (in case Overman is not available). Note the foods sold at
Overman during 2004 can be viewed at -
http://sturgisfalls.org/maps/omap.htm. Hours of operation at Overman
are 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday,
and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday (as compared to Tourist Park hours
which are 6:00 p.m.-Midnight
Friday, Noon - Midnight Saturday, and Noon to 10:00 p.m. Sunday).
Flags - The Club will organize for existing neighborhood renewal
and sales expansion blitzes in April. Chris suggested directed
advertising
to neighborhood associations either directly or via the Cedar Falls Times.
Carlin has ordered flagpole stickers identifying contacts in our club as
well as Sertoma Business Cards (for all recruiting opportunities).
Joke Lottery - Carlin suggested that the club consider starting a
Joke Lottery as an
alternative for to "whatsits." Whoever draws the "lucky" number must tell
a (new) joke or pay a 25-cent fine ... the obligation to tell a joke
continues around the table clockwise (with 25-cent fines) until someone is
able to tell a joke.
