Business Meeting – Minutes

Present:  Joe Alemao, Carlin Hageman, Duane Halbur, Troy Delagardelle, Donna Brown, Bill Robinson, Ed Smith, Bill Smart, Lloyd Berry, Chris Neuhaus, David Greene, and Jessica Williams


 
Announcement about the Fall District Conference
:   October 26th at the Starlite Village in Ames.  Contact Chris if you would like to attend.


Minutes
:  Minutes from the Business Meeting - September 16, 2003 were unanimously accepted after David motioned to approve and Carlin seconded.


Treasurer's Report:

General Account
at $1,759.67

Sponsorship Account at $4,488.89

 $40.00 was given to the ASLC for their Deaf Day Banquet.  The ASLC will be assisting Sertoma by selling Pancake tickets.

David was contacted by the District Boy Scout regarding funding for the Eagle Scouts. 

Treasurer's report was unanimously accepted after Paula motioned to approve and Duane seconded.


Flag Business:
  16 new poles were installed, and new flags were purchased.  November 11th is Veteran’s Day.  Nine flags are needed.


Pancake Business:  Inventory will be done at Donna’s on Monday, October 27th.  David is looking into renting a sign from Blackhawk Rental for advertising, and Carlin is asking Dorothy if we may have the sign up next week.  Carlin will be contacting Carol Cooper regarding a grill. 


Sertoman of the Year
:  Chris will be emailing all members to vote for their pick of Sertoman of the Year.  Pleas vote by emailing Bill Robinson - marbilrobinson@yahoo.com.  Also be thinking of candidates for Service to Mankind Award. 


Recruiting:
  Chris will be heading to the Industrial Park Thursday and Friday.


The meeting was adjourned at approximately 1:15 pm after we ate our delicious corn and peas.
