Business Meeting – Minutes

Present: Ed Smith, Lloyd Berry, Chris Neuhaus, Carlin Hageman, Donna Brown, Carol Copper, Duane Halbur

Reading of Minutes:

February 17, 2004. Notice of change in grammar for motion of monies to “Deaf in the Workplace.”
Carlin moved to accept.
Lloyd seconded.
Unanimously accepted.


Treasurer’s Report:

1450.27 in General Account as of 2-29-2004.
1428.99 in Sponsorship Fund as of 2-29-2004.
Carlin moved to accept.
Donna seconded.
Unanimously accepted.


Flags:

Looking at getting plugs for flag holes. Bob gets metal ones from Wayne Engineering. Lloyd has used broom handles with yogurt lids.


Sturgis:

Will do “Walking Tacos” for $3, nachos $2, Pickle on a Stick $1, and water for 50 cents. Consider offering Pepsi—it doesn’t bring much profit but it brings people in.


C.V. Sertoma Scholarship for College:

Donna motioned that in the year 2004-05, we promote a $500 scholarship for a Black Hawk county high school senior. We will base the scholarship on community service.
Carlin seconded.
Unanimously accepted.


New Members:

Need to follow through with members who have previously visited our meetings.
