Meeting-Minutes
Tuesday, July 12th, 2005
Present: Joe Alemao, Donna Brown, Gary Brown, Carlin Hageman,
Elisabeth Hageman,
Cliff Highnam, Chris Neuhaus, David Voigts, Jessica Williams
- Carlin passed around two handsome thank-you plaques from the Cedar Valley
Youth Soccer teams sponsored by Cedar Valley Sertoma.
- We are looking for a volunteer to do the August programs
- Elisabeth Hageman and Michelle Thompson have agreed to be Vice-Presidents
for Membership. They will put on two Membership dinners this year.
The rest of the club is responsible for bringing guest/potential-Sertomans to
these dinners.
- Carlin distributed a survey of membership preferences that queried members
as to their preferred meeting times (Noon or evening ... or perhaps a mix of
both) and locations, primary objectives, and emphasis for sponsorships.
- Next Board Meeting will be 5:30 on Thursday July 21 at the Hageman's -
2931 Abraham Drive, Cedar Falls
- Donations for Soldiers in Iraq: Flag Captains need to contact Cliff
Highnam and indicate how many donations they received for the
gifts-to-soldiers-in-Iraq project. The Board will also vote on
contributing extra sponsorship dollars to this project (matching funds?).
Once Cliff has this number, Todd will make arrangements for purchasing gifts
and shipping this gifts to our soldiers overseas.
