Business Meeting – Minutes
Tuesday, February 17, 2004



Present: Joe Alameo, Duane Halbur, Donna Brown, Carlin Hageman, Jessica Williams, Lloyd Berry, Chris Neuhaus, Cliff Highnam, Ed Smith, Bill Robinson, Bobs Guitar (in Spirit)


Chris pulls his own ticket for a free lunch. No one contests this abuse of
Presidential power.


We learn that RC bottles, long before some of us were born, were utilized in
the domestic art of ironing.


Jessica shares disdain, as lunch provided no peas.


Cliff discussed sponsorship for Deaf in the Workplace .  A motion to offer
up to two hundred dollars - provided the Club receives recognition in the
Waterloo Courier - was unanimously passed.


Treasure's Report: Lloyd discussed the possibility of online banking with
John Dear Credit Union. Duane made a motion for this, seconded by Jessica,
passing unanimously.


General account was 1430.53 as of January 31, 2004.
Sponsorship fund was at 1368.17 as of January 31, 2004.

Bill motioned accepting the treasure's report. Carlin seconded date. They
were unanimously passed.

Board minutes from January 15 were read.

Chris discussed Sturgis as "Overman or bust." Minutes will be updated to
reflect this. We are looking for an easy selling item. Walking tacos has
some support in the club.

Lloyd motioned to pass the minutes. Donna seconded. Minutes were passed
unanimously.

Duane brought up two potential fundraisers. 1) May 17th Junior League will
offer a donation for valet parking from 6-9 for their annual dinner. This
is a women's only event. 2) May 22nd several volunteers are need to serve
at the Halbur wedding. They get to eat and drink for free. A donation of
350 dollars will be made in their name to Sertoma.

Carlin discussed "Dial-a-hearing." Donna motioned to give $750 to support.
Jessica seconded. The motioned carried with one abstainer and 10 acceptors.
