Business Meeting –
Minutes
Tuesday, April 20, 2004
Present: Bill Robinson, David Greene, Ed Smith,
Lloyd Berry, Carol Cooper, Joe Alemao,
Paula Padavich, Donna Brown, Carlin Hageman, and Jessica Williams.
Carlin motioned to approve the minutes from the previous business meeting,
Paula seconded. The minutes were unanimously approved.
Treasurer’s Report
Carlin motioned not to have the Iowa Commission for the Deaf pay for the stop
payment on a check that they had misplaced. Carol seconded. This motion was
unanimously approved.
General Account is $1,318.12
Sponsorship Account is $834.96
Donna brought a request for Bob Robinson regarding credential papers for those
attending the convention. Jessica would look in her book and contact those
attending the convention regarding the paperwork.
Congratulations to Carlin for receiving the Regent Excellence Scholar!
The Cedar Valley Sertoma Club will not be participating in selling concessions
this year at Sturgis Falls celebration. This decision was made at a previous
business meeting. “Overman or Bust!” Paul Nielson had notified the Sertoma Club
that we were not able to move to Overman Park this year.
Flags were discussed. Bob brought the idea (via Donna) about leaving the flags
out all weekend. The club decided if Bob wished to pursue this, he could be a
“guinea pig”. Another question was raised regarding a plan for wind issues. The
team leaders may want to discuss Wind Teams if a wind storm occurs during the
flag day.
