Cedar Valley Sertoma Club
Board Meeting-Minutes
August 12, 2004

Present: Carlin Hageman, Bill Smart, Bill Robinson, David Greene,  and Jessica Williams.

Flag Business: Labels are ready to be put on flag poles. There is money that still needs to be turned into the treasurer.

Pancake Business: The location was discussed the Community Center or the Broom Factory. The cost for the hoses for grills will be approximately $220. Bill S. Mentioned some places may actually rent the hoses. The pros and cons were discussed. The costs of tickets were decided to remain the same as in the past years. The concern with raising ticket prices is that some people buy to support Sertoma and do not actually attend the breakfast; if the price rises they may not support the ticket sales.

Banquet/Essay Contest: A committee will be formed to evaluate the essay contest. Judy Harrington is the chair for the banquet. The tentative date is February 27, 2005.

Collegiate Club: Jessica is going to find out the procedure from International regarding how to apply. The estimated time for the Charter BBQ will be middle to late September. Who to invite was discussed. This included the advisors, President Koob, Dept. Heads, Regents, and Exec. Secretary of Regents.

Presenter gifts: It was unanimously approved to order 50 Swiss army knives at $1.99 to give as complimentary gifts to presenters or guests. The knives will have Cedar Valley Sertoma Club and possible our website if the cost is no to great.

Respectfully,
Jessica Williams
