Former all-american Brad Canoyer of Nebraska was upset in OT by Jason LaMotta of North Carolina by a score of 6-4. Canoyer led after 2 periods 3-1, but at the end of regulation it was tied up at 4-4. The match was decided when LaMotta scored the winning takedown with 17 seconds left in overtime, in first round action at 134 lbs.
