Tim Hartung of Minnesota beat Mark Bodo of Pittsburg for the second time in the tournament with a 5-1 decision for third place. Hartung got a takedown in the second and Bodo escaped for his only point. Hartung escaped in the third and was also awarded a point off a stalling call against Bodo. The last point came from riding time. Hartung met Bodo in the quarterfinals for the first match and won 4-3.
