Brady of Illinois scored a takedown against Patterson of Missouri to take the lead 2-0 at the end of the 1st period. Brady also scored a takedown and escape to go up 5-0 at the end of 2. Patterson got his first and only score in the third with an escape. However it was not enough as Brady scored a takedown, escape, back points, and riding time to make the final 11-1.
