Defending national champion Sheldon Thomas of Clarion was upset by the fifth seed Lindsey Durlacher 3-1 in the semi-final round. Durlacher took Thomas down in the second period for the only takedown of the bout. Durlacher's next match is with Jesse Whitmer of Iowa in the championship round.
