Will be competing in his third NCAA Tournament after compiling a 23-7 record this season and winning the West Regional...with a 98-50 career mark, needs just two wins to become the 15th wrestler in school history to hit the century mark while competing in Division I...led the team in dual wins this season with a 12-3 record; has accumulated a 30-16 career dual mark...leads the team with eight major decisions...his 28 career pins places him seventh on the school's career list...in addition to winning the West Regional, also placed fourth at the Nebraska-Omaha Open and Great Plains Open...five of his seven losses have come to ranked opponents, including #1 Dwight Hinson, #3 Eric Jetton, #8 Dane Valdez, #10 Jeramie Welder and #11 Pat Connors...came within one victory of placing at 118 at last year's national tournament; lost his only NCAA match as a sophomore; qualified for the NCAAs as a freshman, but did not make weight...was ranked eighth nationally in preseason, his highest ever...enters the NCAAs having won four of his last five...won 13 of 14 matches from Jan. 4 to Jan. 23...has twice been named to Successful Farming Magazine's All-America Farm Team for his involvement with the family business in Kansas...came to UNI as a High School All-American after winning the Kansas state title twice and posting a 131-5 career record.
