Biography
Another star was born in the Duck lineup, as Sean Morgan advanced to the NCAA Championships by finishing second at the Pac-10 Meet. His tough 3-2 loss to Matt Suter of Arizona State in the finals was the climax of the two-day competition, as Morgan won 10-3 over David Cobb of UC Davis and took the semi-final matchup with David Wells of Cal Poly SLO, 2-1. He has been the answer man at 158 pounds since the California roadtrip in late January. Sean went 3-1 on the Golden State swing and has been entrenched in the lineup. He placed third at the Oregon Classic and seventh at the Mat Town Invitational. The conference's coaches have noticed his strong mat skills, voting him the second best wrestler in the Pac-10. Morgan should hope his opponents at the NCAA Championships are named David. He is 4-0 against Davids this season. Morgan is a three-time high school state champion. This is his first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
