DEDICATION OF NEW
STUDENT SERVICES CENTER:
All
are invited to attend the dedication of the new Follon Student Services
Center, in Gilchrist Hall on Dec. 3. An open house will be from 3
to 5 p.m., with the dedication program at 3:30 p.m. Sue Follon, the
first woman to serve as vice president at UNI, was vice president
of Educational & Student Services from 1985 to 1998.

TIME REPORTING
FOR STUDENT EMPLOYEES:
Important changes for MEMFIS users and all UNI student employees will

UNI MAIL ENCRYPTION:
Effective
Nov. 30, the UNI Web mail server, uniwebmail.uni.edu, will be configured
to encrypt username, password and message to enhance e-mail security.
This transition should be transparent to users (current Web browsers
are able to automatically detect secure communications). ITS will
monitor UNI's server during this transition to ensure performance
is maintained.

OUTSTANDING GRADUATE FACULTY TEACHING AWARD:
This
award recognizes full-time members of the regular graduate faculty
for outstanding teaching. It includes a $500 prize. Deadline for nominations

NOMINATIONS NEEDED FOR STUDENT ENTREPRENEURS
TO SPEAK:
The
John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is seeking nominations, including
self nominations, for students to speak at the 2005 Collegiate Entrepreneurs'
Iowa Conference. Students should run a successful business and be
willing to share its start-up story with other students. The deadline
