HEALTH UPDATE FROM THE
UNI STUDENT HEALTH CLINIC:
Black Hawk County has had 140 confirmed cases of whooping cough since
July 1. Whooping cough is not usually life-threatening for adults,
but it is serious. If you contract whooping cough, the State Department
of Health mandates isolation for five days.
Tips for staying healthy:
• If you feel sick from the flu, stay home. This will help slow
the spread of disease to others.
• When you sneeze or cough, cover your nose and mouth with disposable
tissue.
• Wash hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least
15 seconds.
• Get plenty of rest, and exercise, and eat properly.
• Clean surfaces you touch frequently (door knobs, water faucets,
refrigerator handles and telephones).

Rod
Library invites the campus to participate in its annual survey about
which activity categories should be supported with student computer

MEMFIS TRAINING - NEW HR/PAYROLL SYSTEM:
All
university employees will begin using the new HR/payroll system in
December. Learn how to access MEMFIS; view and update your personal
and W-4 information, print your payslip; and create, review and approve
timecards. Training sessions are scheduled through November. Additional
sessions will be added for December. Register through My UNIverse
in the MEMFIS section.
