BROKEN WATER MAIN TO HEALTH
CENTER:
A broken water main to the Student
Health Center has resulted in no running water or access to toilets
in the building. The clinic will be open during its regular hours,
but with limited services. Staff will be available to see students
but the lab will be closed until water is returned to the building.
Clients should not expect to use the bathroom facilities.
Work will resume Monday, Feb. 2, to repair the main.
Those with questions about available services or appointments may
call Student Health at 273-2009.

IOWA STATE FAIR,
AUG. 12-22: Faculty, staff and student organizations
are encouraged to mark their calendars and reserve a date to work
at UNI's booth. UNI will help the Iowa State Fair celebrate its 150th
anniversary by displaying its long history of service to Iowans through
education. The exhibit will feature a reconstructed 1920's one-room
school, Marshal Center School memorabilia, Iowa alumni educator profiles,

WELCOMING NEW
IOWANS: "A 200 Year Tradition," a new exhibit
at the University Museum, will be on display through May 31. This
exhibit explores why people left their homeland and why they chose
Iowa as their new home. The exhibit includes immigration documents,
personal belongings and photographs from nearly 40 countries. Opening
reception is Tuesday, Feb. 3, 6:30-8 p.m. At 7 p.m., former Governor
Robert D. Ray will speak on Iowa's history of welcoming immigrants
and refugees.
