MCLEOD CENTER DRIVE REACHES
MILESTONE: The Students First Campaign's
McLeod Center fundraising goal has been met. The UNI Foundation will
continue to raise funds to include enhancements that will allow the
facility to be even more versatile for the university and community
including a kitchen, retractable seating and a Hall of Fame connector.

NEW RESERVATION POLICY: Beginning
January 2004, catering and meeting space at the Commons and Maucker
Union can be reserved two years in advance. This is a change from
the previous one-year-out policy. Reservations for 2004 and 2005 will
be accepted beginning Jan. 5 when campus offices open after the holiday
break. For additional information, contact the Department of Residence,

SPRING FINANCIAL AID REFUND
CHECKS: Refunds from overpayment of u-bills
as a result of Financial Aid will be mailed to "local" addresses
on Jan. 8, 2004. If a local address is not listed, it will go to "home"
addresses. Refunds will be sent home if students have requested that
their bills/refunds be sent to their parents. Addresses must be correct
no later than Dec. 22.

1098T TAX DOCUMENTS: for
the 2003 year will be mailed to "home" addresses Jan. 12,
2004 and will be available online shortly after that.

REGENTS UNIVERSITIES
IOWA JOB FAIR: 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday,
Jan. 7 at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines. An opportunity
for students to pursue internships and full-time employment opportunities.

IRONMAN
TRIATHLON: The WRS Ironman Triathlon Challenge,
a fitness incentive program, will take place during the spring semester.
Three different events will be offered: traditional challenge, non-swimmers,
and double challenge. Registration begins Jan. 26.

STIPEND/SCHOLARSHIP TRACKING
AVAILABLE: Students who have a Graduate
Assistantship Stipend and/or a Graduate College Tuition Scholarship
can now track processing through two new WebCT sites -- Graduate Assistantship
Tracking and Graduate College Scholarship Tracking. Access these sites
at http://webct.uni.edu If you
have not yet used WebCT, click on the "UNI Student - Enrolled
in On-Campus Course" link for information to set up account password.
With the availability of these sites, reminder notices will no longer
be sent through the mail.

INSTITUTE "I" DAY: Dec. 22, 9-noon,
at the University Museum. Come and learn about Ireland, taste some
traditional food, learn to dance and count to 10 in Irish Gaelic.
For children grades K-6. Registration fee is $15 for Friends of the
Museums members; $20 for nonmenbers. Fee includes supplies, snacks,
