RELOCATION OF CASHIER'S WINDOWS:
Effective Nov. 17, the Cashiers windows will be located in Gilchrist
#207/209 lobby entrance. All U-Bill payments and departmental deposits
can be brought to this area for processing. If you have questions, call

UNI TRANSPORTATION
SURVEY: In collaboration with Metropolitan
Transit Authority (MET), the UNI Physical Plant, and Department of Geography,
you are invited to take a voluntary and anonymous survey on campus transportation
perceptions and commuter travel behavior. The survey should take no
more than five minutes to complete, and the information you provide
will be useful in many community and campus transportation and policy
applications. The survey will be available on MyUNIverse Nov. 13-30.
To access the survey, log in to your MyUNIverse account and click on
the link to the survey under "Current Announcements" (or "Voting and
Surveys").

MCLEOD CENTER APPROVED:
The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, yesterday gave UNI approval to
move ahead with construction of the McLeod Center, a 100,000-square-foot
sports and entertainment facility to be located south of the UNI-Dome.
The UNI Foundation has raised approximately $17 million of the $18 million
in private support needed to build the center. The anticipated total
project cost is approximately $20 million. The remaining funds will
come from the university and a $500,000 loan from the city of Cedar

STUDENT LITERARY MAGAZINE:
Inner Weather, UNI's student-run literary
magazine, is seeking submissions in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and
black and white artwork. Submissions can be taken to the Department
of English office, Baker 117, or submitted via e-mail to inner-
weather@uni.edu. The deadline is Dec. 10.

PHONE BOOK AVAILABLE: Off-campus students
can pick up a copy between 8:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. at Copy Central,
located in the basement of Rod Library. Quantities are limited; off-campus

The Northern Iowa Student Government is forming
a committee to create a faculty evaluation service for all students.
There are currently two openings on the committee for non-senate member

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE:
On Nov. 18, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., the Red Cross and Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Fraternity will hold the second SAE sponsored blood drive of the semester.
Those who donated in the Sept. 16 drive are now eligible to donate
again, and more staff has been added so the drive will move more quickly.

SATELLITE SEMINAR SERIES:
The final seminar in the 2003 Satellite
Seminar Series, "Heads vs. Feds: The Great Debate," will be aired
live on Tues., Nov. 18, 6:30 p.m. in SEC 244. The seminar will feature
Steven Hager, Robert Stutman, and Billy R. Martin and their differing
experiences with the war on drugs. Hager is the editor of "High Times
Magazine," Stutman served as a DEA agent for 25 years, and Martin

NASA LECTURE AND
SLIDE SHOW: "The International Flavor of
the Space Station" by Clay Anderson, American astronaut. Tuesday,
Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Great Reading Room in Seerley Hall. Clay
was the crew support astronaut for Expedition 4 (for more information,

and Space Station Capsule Communicator (CAPCOM) for Station missions
