each Monday during the academic year by the office of University Marketing

EARLY
PAY PERIOD CUT-OFF:
The May paycheck for students will include hours worked April 16 through
May 10. May paychecks and direct deposit notices for students are
mailed to the student's home, not local address. If you close or change
the bank account to which your pay is deposited, please remember to
contact Student Payroll at 3-2656 as soon as possible.

GETTING
TO THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES: Due to continuing
construction in the Hudson Road area, traveling to the commencement
ceremonies will take some planning. Please refer to http://www.uni.edu/regist
and click on the April 24 announcement for construction details and
a map of how to best navigate your way to and from the commencement
ceremonies.

PANTHER BASH:
Mark your calendars for Sunday, Aug. 24. All students are invited
to attend the Panther Bash at 5 p.m. the evening before classes begin
next fall. Free food, prizes, and entertainment for all students following
Convocation on the grassy area across from the GBPAC. Celebrate what
it means to be a Panther. Call the Alumni Association at 3-6409 for
more information.

TOWERS
AUCTION: On May 14 at 10 a.m. an auction of kitchen
and dining room equipment and furniture will take place in the Tower

All items sold "as is" and must be removed the day of sale.
All items must be paid for in cash (good check) before removal. Bring
a photo ID to get a bidding number. Contact Vince Heuer at 3-3527

McCOLLUM
ELEVATOR OUT: The elevator serving MSH will be out
of service for approximately two weeks beginning May 12. For questions,

MAUCKER
AUCTION:
UNI has scheduled an auction on May 9 at 10 a.m. in the Maucker Union.
The items for sale include butcher block tables with accompanying
chairs and wood/upholstered chairs and couches from the Union lounges.
Some office furniture such as, desks, chairs, file & storage cabinets,
and plastic stack chairs, are also available. All items sold "as
is" and must be removed the day of sale. All items must be paid
for in cash (good check) before removal. Bring a photo ID to get a
bidding number. Contact Vince Heuer at 3-3527 with questions.

STRATEGIC PLAN REVIEW UPDATE:
The Strategic Planning Review Committee has been discussing the beneficial
feedback it has received to date, and is making further potential
modifications to the UNI Strategic Plan. Check out the new potential
changes to the plan at http://aflink.af.uni.edu/stratplan/
Please send comments on the potential changes to the current plan,
and the additional revisions that have been added, by May 5, using
the e-mail feedback link on the Web site. The committee encourages
your input.

GOLF:
Coach John Bermel has signed Emily Hesseman of West Des Moines to
a National Letter of Intent for next season.

Coach John Bermel has announced the signing of six players to University
Letters of Intent for the next season. Ben Hanson of Waterloo, Derek
Thomas of Mason City, Kyle Teeling of Sumner, Derek Bohlen of Waterloo,
Jordan Molstead of Charles City, and Eric Sanders of Oelwein will
compete on the fairways for the Panthers.
