WOMEN'S
GOLF: The
Panther women's golf team finished third in the MVC tournament at Beaver
Hills in Cedar Falls. The Panthers shot a team total of 966. Junior
Jenny Heinz finished the tournament tied for fifth after firing a 74
in the final round for a 236 overall score.

AUCTION:
UNI has scheduled an auction on May 9 at 10 a.m. in the Maucker Union.
The items for sale include butcher block tables with accompanying chairs
and wood/upholstered chairs and couches from the Union lounges. Some
office furniture such as, desks, chairs, file & storage cabinets,
and plastic stack chairs, are also available. All items sold "as
is" and must be removed the day of sale. All items must be paid
for in cash (good check) before removal. Bring a photo ID to get a bidding

WOMEN'S RUGBY:
The UNI Women's Rugby team qualified for nationals this weekend by beating
College of Charleston 10-7 and St. Joseph's College 27-14. They will
play for the D2 National Title against the University of Dayton, on

STRATEGIC PLAN REVIEW:
A diverse committee of students, faculty and staff have been charged
to review the UNI Strategic Plan. The committee's recommendations, after
review by the campus community, will be sent to the President's Cabinet
by the end of the fiscal year. The committee would like input from the

CARNEGIE
HALL DRESS REHEARSAL CONCERTS:
The NUHS Concert Choir will present a series of dress rehearsal concerts
every Tuesday and Friday for their solo Carnegie Concert, "Iowa
Culture." The concerts will be from 9:45-10:20 in Butzier Auditorium

OUTDOORS MAINE ADVENTURE:
UNI Outdoors Maine Adventure, Aug. 2-12. Spend 5 nights & 6 days

STUDY
IN NICARAGUA: Aug. 10 - 20, 2003. This is a two-week
study abroad program limited to 14 students to study "International
Cultural Sensitivity." Airfare,
program expenses, and tuition are $1,956. Scholarship money is available.
A three credit hour experiential course is part of the program.

CHANGES
TO SCHOOL OF MUSIC CALENDAR: The Wednesday, April
30, Won Cho faculty recital scheduled for 8 p.m. in GBPAC Davis Hall
has been canceled. A guest recital has been added to the calendar
on Tuesday, May 6 at 8 p.m. in GBPAC Davis Hall the Tsou Cultural
Troup of Taiwan will preform under the direction of Susan Tsai. No
admission, but tickets are required and available by calling 3-SHOW.

IRAQ RECONSTRUCTION
DEBATE: The UNI Debate Team will sponsor a public
debate on Iraq reconstruction issues. The event is free and open to
all. The debate will take place Monday, April 28 at 7 p.m. in the
Seerley Great Reading Room.

OPERA SCENES
PERFORMANCE: The School of Music will present Opera
A La Carte: A Sampling of Operatic "Treats" on Tuesday,
April 29 at the Strayer-Wood Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Featured scenes
will be from Die Fledermaus, Hansel and Gretel, The Ballad of Baby
Doe, Cos' fan tutte, La Rondine, and La Traviata. Free and open to

"WALT
WHITMAN LIVE:" William Koch, English Language
and Literature, will present "Walt Whitman Live" in the
Auditorium of Lang Hall April 30, at 7 p.m. The 50-minute, one-man
show presents Whitman speaking on some of the major themes of his
poetry, his observations on American culture, his Civil War experiences
and his views on Abraham Lincoln, while incorporating slide pictures
and music.

vs. Iowa (UNI Student Day: NISG is sponsoring a free UNI student shuttle
to the Waterloo Riverfront Stadium. Pick-up outside the commons at
the Bartlett/ Lawther horseshoe drive beginning at 4:30pm, and students
will be dropped off at the same location after the game).

DE MAYO FIESTA:
The annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta celebration will take place near the
reflecting pool outside Maucker Union on Friday, May 2, 11 a.m.-1:30
p.m. Activities will include cascarones (confetti filled eggs) and
pinatas. Musical entertainment will also be provided. Food available
for purchase includes fajitas, beans, chips, dessert, and soda. For

5 de MAYO CELEBRATION: St. Stephen's Catholic Student
