NEW
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: The UNI Alumni Association
will award three scholarships to current UNI students. Two scholarships
will be awarded to undergraduate students who will be classified as
a senior in the fall. The third scholarship will be awarded to a graduate
student. Application deadline - April 23rd. Information and application

The Legislative Education Appropriations Subcommittee voted on the proposed
education appropriations budget. Ninety-one percent of the cuts are

HABITAT
FOR HUMANITY HOMELESS EVENT: The UNI chapter of Habitat
for Humanity and the Social Work Club will host 'Shanty town' an event
to raise awareness about homelessness on Friday, April 11 in the Commons
courtyard. Participants will sleep outdoors in cardboard 'homes' they

PANEL DISCUSSION
ON THE WAR IN IRAQ: The Department of Political Science
and the Political Science Society are presenting a panel discussion
on the War in Iraq to be held on Monday, April 7 at 3 p.m. in Sabin
Hall 103. Speakers will include, Dr. Pita Agbese, Dr. Dhirendra Vajpeyi,
Dr. Michael Hall, Dr. Taifa Yu and Dr. Steven Lobell. Among the issues
