Anyone
wanting to become a student senator should pick-up an election packet
at the NISG office, 103 Student Services Center- Bartlett Hall. Packets
are due back to the NISG office no later than 5 pm on Wednesday, Oct.
9. Voting will take place online on Tuesday, Oct. 15 & Wednesday

ANONYMOUS DEPRESSION SCREENING: The
Counseling Center will offer students, staff, faculty, and community
members the opportunity to learn about the signs and symptoms of depression
and other mood disorders, and to be screened for mental health problems
during National Depression Screening Day. Sessions will be held Thursday
Oct. 10, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Counseling Center, 213 Student

NEW STUDENT COMPUTER
CENTER IN WRC: A new SCC (Student Computer Center) in the
Wellness Recreation Center Room 156 is open. This 24 workstation facility
is a joint venture of Information Technology Services, Health Physical
Education and Leisure Services, Wellness and Recreation Services,
and the Student Computer Fee.

SCHOLARSHIPS:
The application cycle for the 2003-2004 National Security Education
Program (NSEP) David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships for study
abroad is now open. These scholarships are available to degree-seeking
undergraduates planning to study abroad in summer 2003, fall 2003,
and/or spring 2004. Emphasized world regions include Africa, Asia,
Central and Eastern Europe, the NIS, Latin America and the Caribbean,
and the Middle East. Information and an online application are available
