CAMPUS
ADVISORY GROUP: The
Campus Advisory Group will meet with President Koob on Friday, May 3,
at 8 a.m. in Gilchrist 207 to continue discussions of shaping the university
to fit within budget constraints and the strategic plan. Ideas will
be shared on how to maintain the proper balance among instruction, services
and the physical plant. Employees and students are encouraged to contact
one of the group members before May 3, if they wish to make suggestions
on how to best pursue discussion of these issues. To view a list of

TECHNOLOGY SURVEY:

Entrepreneurial Center is conducting to evaluate the interest for a
student technology business incubator and/or an on-campus student business

FAMILY WEEKEND
PLANNING: Any college, department or organization planning

Dining Services wants to feature some "recipes from home"
next year to celebrate our diversity. Faculty, staff & students
may submit a recipe from their culture or a family favorite. Submit
by May 15, 2002, for consideration. Selected recipes will be featured

PHILANTHROPY

PROJECT
V.I.P. COORDINATOR NEEDED:
This is a 20 hour per week position which pays $7.25 per hour. The Coordinator
works for 10 hours per week in the UNI Career Center and 10 hours per
week at the Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley, located in Waterloo.

PANTHER SOFTBALL:
Panther softball hosts Bradley, Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Panther
Park Field, located to the northwest of the WRC. The first 100 UNI
students at the game will receive a FREE slice of Papa John's Pizza.
Admission to the game is FREE. This weekend, the UNI softball team
hosts Evansville at Panther Park Field (located to the NW of the WRC)
on Saturday and Sunday. Games on both days begin at noon, Saturday's
game is a doubleheader.

LECTURE ON
DEAD SEA SCROLLS: Kenneth Atkinson, assistant professor
of religion, will give a lecture "Mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls"

DE MAYO FESTIVAL: Come be a part of UNI's Cinco de Mayo

BRAVO BROADWAY:
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony and the GBPAC will present
a tribute to the music of Broadway May 3 & 4 at the Center. The
7:30 p.m. events will feature Broadway's Susan Egan, Gary Mauer, and
William Michals, who will give a pre-concert talk at 6:30. Advance

SPRING AWARDS CEREMONY: Outstanding
cadets will be recognized by many local groups and the ROTC will present

CINCO DE MAYO
FESTIVAL AT ST. STEPHEN'S: St. Stephen's (next to the bookstore)
will host a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on Sunday, May 5 at 5 p.m. to support
a service trip to Tijuana, Mexico to help the El Faro orphanage. Tickets
are $20 (adults) and $10 (students). Come for great Mexican food and
music.
